Eric Fishman, the founder and principal of Fishman Advisors, has practiced telecommunications and general business law for over 30 years. His clients engage in virtually every major sector of the telecommunications and internet service industry, including local, domestic, long distance and international telephone service, internet services and technologies, submarine fiber optic services, satellite services, wireless technology, equipment manufacture, and other high-technology applications.
Eric also represents investment groups and major commercial and residential real estate developers on telecommunications and Internet service matters. On behalf of his clients, Eric provides a full range of corporate, transactional and regulatory counsel before US federal, state and international regulatory bodies, and advises them on data privacy, cyber-security e-commerce, and other issues critical to their industries.
Eric earned his law degree from Columbia University Law School. He also holds a Ph.D. in U.S. History from Columbia University. In addition to his career as an attorney, Eric has been an instructor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Continuing Studies, lecturing on Domestic and International Telecommunications Policy and Regulation and E-Commerce Legal Issues. A frequent author and speaker on telecommunications-related topics, Eric is designated as a “Super Lawyer” in Telecommunications and Business Law in the New York Metropolitan Area.
